Preserving History Through Grand Scale
Rising from the Bridgehampton fields, Sagaponack Barn challenges the traditional notion of “rural preservation.”
Designed by the visionary studio behind the famed Adaptive Reuse Series, this residence is a masterclass in spatial volume. The structure is composed of massive 200-year-old oak framing, floating steel supports, and continuous white plaster planes.
The home is oriented to the coastal wind patterns, ensuring that light interacts with the colossal cathedral ceilings in a way that shifts seasonally, turning the great hall into an awe-inspiring spatial journey.
