Softening the Edge of the Ocean
Nestled in the Montauk sands, The Dune House challenges the traditional notion of “hard-lined modernism.”
Designed by the visionary studio behind the famed Organic Curve Series, this residence is a masterclass in environmental empathy. The structure is composed of naturally graying Accoya wood, curved thermal glass, and seamless microcement walls.
The home is oriented to the prevailing ocean breezes, ensuring that light interacts with the sweeping, cornerless walls in a way that shifts seasonally, making the home feel as though it is breathing with the tides.
